This project is a full site redesign & development from their existing 1998 site. I designed this site using a 15 column grid and customized the Bootstrap Framework to handle a 15 column grid as well. Then through multiple iterations with the client we were able to land on a very compelling site that is not only adaptive but usable as well.
Simple Redesign & Development for a Winery located in the Livemore Valley. Goal is to upgrade their site and fix everything broken, Social Plugins to their Shopping Cart.
eBay for Teens was another great idea for eBay to bring in new users and was part of the 2013 initiative. Using sub-account technology and the PayPal Student Account we wanted to develop a controlled environment for under age kids to sell on eBay. Research showed they have all the time in the world, are hungry to make money and 2.5 million were already selling through parent's eBay account today. Inspiration for this product was the newly redesigned MySpace site which used the horizontal scrolling treatment and was deemed cool by the younger crowd during research. I designed & developed the responsive/adaptive front-end in purely HTML5 and CSS3 for this product.
This project was really cool idea. Our back-end engineer worked with 3rd party consultant to develop an application to design solar for your roof. The idea was to disrupt solar & create a solar marketplace on eBay using reverse auctions. User would design their roof using Google Satellite Maps and be able to submit their plan for service bidding. The user could set their auction price and contractors could come in and bid on the job. I designed & developed the front-end for this product.
Student Entrepreneurs was developed out of eBay Skunkworks idea to bring under age kids on eBay to sell through a controlled environment. I used sub-account technology and parental controls to enable kids to sell on eBay. With Junior Achievement they had a mentor who acted like the parent and approved or denied students listings. This was highly successful and the winning team sold $1500 worth of products. I designed & developed the front-end for this product.
Through the Green initiative at eBay we decided to build a green driving motors hub. The focus on the site was to seperate fuel efficient cars from the everyday gas guzzling cars while creating a more engaging experience. I handled the design & front-end coding for this project. We followed the internal eBay DS3 guidelines and currently the site averages about 4,000 unique visitors today.
eBay Giving Works team came to me to update the hub to eBay DS3 guidelines. I worked with PMs on content needed as well as iteration of designs. I also developed the front-end for this project.
Through the Green initiative at eBay we worked with 3rd party, Patagonia to bring their used goods on the site. We also helped promote their reuse policy and trade-in of old patagonia clothes to help with the environment. I helped with design & development for this project.
Originally I came up with an idea to Recycle, Resell on eBay or Donate. I also came up with this idea because majority of people don't have time to sell on eBay and wanted an easier way to do so. The idea came in second place at eBay Skunkworks Competition and later became eBay's Instant Sale. We worked with a third party eBay seller to take in the used inventory. The eBay seller then refurbished those phones if necessary and then relisted those items back on eBay. I designed and developed the front-end for this product.
The idea was to develop a site that brings in outside designers to eBay. The site was designed by UED & developed by me using Parallaxing technology. The site was really interesting concept and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of doing it.
The idea was originally developed with 2 items. 3rd party sellers wanted to get rid of large quantity items with lowest price possible. The challenge was the eBay API needed to be checked every second for quantity and then display sold out when quantity hit zero. eBay APIs were not able to handle the load at the time so we worked with the API teams to speed up the API calls. The site is now a huge sucess and I developed the entire working prototype.
Using eBay DS2 design guidelines I built a prototype using eBox (eBay's IDE). The goal was to have an area on the eBay site where users could search and find coupons from eBay sellers and redeem at seller's store.
